The Époisses and Langres appellation zones
At the crossroads of Champagne and Burgundy, the Epoisses and Langres appellation zones overlap in the center, but each has its own specificity.
Epoisses covers roughly the north-western half of Côte-d’Or, two cantons of Haute-Marne and three cantons of Yonne. Its name comes from the village of Epoisses, located in the west of this territory.
Langres covers two arrondissements in Haute-Marne (Chaumont and Langres), one canton in Vosges (Neufchâteau) and four villages in Côte-d’Or.
The Champagne region
Famous for the majestic cathedral of Reims
and its Champagne, this region is also renowned for its
its pink Reims cookies and its two AOP cheeses,
Langres and Chaource.
Burgundy
La moutarde de Dijon, le cassis, le pain d’épices et l’AOP Epoisses sont autant de produits caractéristiques de la table des Ducs de Bourgogne.
